There is no way to delete the Observation Field: "Same specimen over time"

After submitting an observation, I am redirected to my list of observations.
I click on the observation I want to add an Observation Field entry to.
I am redirected to that observation’s page.

Step 1: Select “Same specimen over time:” from the Observation Field drop down list.

Step 2: Add some text. In this case, I added the link to the original observation. Click the Add button. The text I entered appears.

Step 3: Click the Edit button on the observation.

Step 4: When the edit page opens, scroll to the bottom.

Issue 1: There is no way to delete this Observation Field.

Issue 2: If I click on the X to delete the text I entered or drag over the text with my cursor and delete it,
then tab out of that field,
then click the Save Observation button,
I am redirected back to the observation’s page.
But, that Observation Field is still there with the same text.
*Should deleting the text completely delete that Observation Field (“Same specimen over time”) too?

Note that, if I just edit the text I entered and save, the changes are saved.

Hi, I think the problem is that the normal way to delete an observation field is not to go into the edit page. But instead, on the observation’s page, click on the name of the field you want to delete (on the right-hand side of the page), and a small menu should pop up with one of the options being delete. Does that help?

I was able to get that little menu on my Android phone (MS Edge browser) by pressing and holding on the Observation Field title. Thanks!

I’ve just started to use that particular Observation Field to link observations. And, it’s the first time I needed to edit or delete something.
