Unable to add observations to a specific project

Hello all! I was recently added to the admin team of a project and I have run into a problem: I am unable to add observations to it manually. If I go to the page for an observation and click on the “add to a project” search bar, this project in particular doesn’t appear alongside the others that I’ve joined. It’s not an issue with one specific observation either, It’s all of them.

Is there something in the project settings that could be causing this? I feel it would be beneficial to be able to add observations this way, but I can’t even reach out to the project creator about possibly changing it since I have no idea what to even change in order to rectify the issue.

What’s the URL or exact name of the project? Without specifics it’s very difficult to investigate an issue.

Apologies for the vagueness, I just didn’t want to accidentally come off as trying to promote as I know that’s not the forum’s intention.

That’s a collection project. Observations can’t be manually added to them.

Ohhh. Whoops! So if I wanted a specific observation to be included in the project, would I have to invite the observer to join and upload it?

Yes, in part. As the project requirements include “project members only” you would have to invite them to join, but they would not have to upload it. If their observations meet the other project requirements (taxa, locations and quality grade) they will be added automatically.
