What camera do you use for nature photography?

I use my almost 10 years old EOS 600D for most observations. However, since I now live in not so secure colombia and I would not feel comfortable carying a DSLR around, I leave it at home most of the time and use my phone camera more often. I don´t even know what kind of phone it is… Huawei something I think… not sure… something not too expensive so if it gets stolen it´s not a complete desaster. Photos are ok for identification.
