Where to get a motion sensor wildlife camera

Hi

I have been looking for a motion sensor wildlife camera for iNat obs with night vision that senses big and small animals like insects.

Does anyone know where to get one?

Most game cameras won’t give you good photos of insects. They might take a pic of a moth flying by the lens at night but it will be out of focus since the camera has built in settings for larger subjects at a greater distance from the lens.

I am afraid you’re out of luck here.

I have a collection of trailcams with differing characteristics, yet they are all pretty useless when it comes to insects. Especially at night, when the camera must rely on its own light source and by its very nature will only produce greyscale photos – all you get of insects in flight is bright streaks at best.
