Why aren't taxa that are out of range automatically removed from suggestions?

I’m talking taxa that are like continents apart, so there’s not even the slightest chance of a range extension.

It would greatly benefit the accuracy of IDs if all these misleading IDs were automatically filtered out or at least give some warning that “this taxon is similar but unlikely to occur in this area based on its known distribution” or something

Because the site does not have a viable means to either store or even get entered reliable precise level range information on hundreds of thousands, or even millions of species.

The opposite is done, species documented as nearby (via inat observations which is far from a complete dataset) are highlighted in the suggestions as seen nearby.
