Everything looks set up correctly on Wikidata and our end, but our Wikipedia links are very buggy. It’s possible that manually setting the Wikipedia page would fix things, but I doubt it.

But for every taxon? It is rather not possible I suppose

I think it was fine a couple of days ago and I don’t know exactly when it appeared.

We shouldn’t need to manually set the Wikipedia link in most cases. The page should be automatically pulled in for a given language if the Wikidata page is set up correctly. But I have been seeing instances recently where this isn’t happening properly.

I do not see a problem for https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/5106-Accipiter-nisus in Dutch

Is wikidata language-specifik?

Wikidata collects all Wikipedia pages across languages into one place. iNat taxon IDs can also be entered there so the pages are linked properly for our display (that is at least how it is supposed to work). See: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q25380

Anyone can edit Wikidata.

Now I see that some pages work fine, like:

https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/57669-Andrena#articles-tab

But some does not display description at all:

https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/124358-Andrena-flavipes#articles-tab

Both of them have Polish description in Wiki

For sparrowhawk there were some changes 15.03.2026 - maybe there is some issue with that?
