A call to (future) Canadian ambassadors

As you may have caught wind of, iNaturalist just kickstarted its Ambassador Program. I personally am interested in joining the program, but given my current responsibilites it might prove difficult to fulfill the basic requirement of organizing at least 2 iNaturalist-related community events a year. I think collaborating with other ambassadors could lighten the mental and logistical load of these. Since I live in Québec, it would make sense to work with other Canadians, so if you are also 1) Canadian and 2) interested in joining the ambassador program, please indicate your province/territory of residence below. Feel free to use this thread to get in touch with other current or future ambassadors!

@nickbedard @cryokinesis I’m glad to see at least 2 other users from Québec who are interested in joining the Ambassador Program! Do you think it would be a good idea to start a private group chat here on the iNaturalist forum? Also do you speak French? If so do you mind us communicating in French?

Yeah sure! I don’t see the harm in starting one. I am an anglophone (West Island-Montreal) though but my french is not too bad.

No worries about you being an anglophone! I’m (obviously?) comfortable discussing almost anything in English. I currently study at Concordia University, which has a campus in western Montreal (Loyola), so it might be possible to meet up nearby in person
