Ambassador Program

couple of questions on the Ambassador program:

are they going to set up a forum are or a menu item like the educator one?

Are they planning on having a geographic list of Ambassador by user names? Make it easer to people wanting presentations to find a local ambassador.

I followed up with the program manager on the status of my application, but iNat should probably let people know to avoid the emails coming from the people who applied.

looks like it will be a great program, and being supported well with presentations and other resources

And a question from me: How permanent is this? Will I be able to sign up in a few years, once I’m old enough?

I’m really excited at the prospects of this program! It seems like a great idea to increase the love of iNaturalist and also to connect passionate people!

I guess it depends on well the program does over the first couple of years.

Caveat: I’m not in charge of the Ambassador program, but here are some responses:

Potentially, but right now let’s just see how it goes here.

This is all just a pilot right now, it’s hard to predict what changes will happen in a few years. I suspect it will still be around, but in an amended form as we see what works and what doesn’t.

FYI, I received an email today welcoming me to the iNaturalist Ambassador Program. It looks like we will start to see more information in the coming days/weeks.
