A change to iNaturalist fonts

Can you please share a screenshot?

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I agree about the problem with bold text, hereā€™s a github issue for it: https://github.com/inaturalist/inaturalist/issues/4109

Weā€™re also taking a look at the Identify page formatting issue.

2 posts were split to a new topic: Which font is used on the Forum?

It has changed? I wouldnā€™t have noticed, hadnā€™t you told me.

Lato is one of the top ten fonts for accessibility, too. I like it.

Youā€™re both such Dingbats.

I donā€™t find Lato beautiful, but I would not encourage staff to spend more time on font-finding.

(It is a very tempting rabbit hole, I know all too well.)

I assume the letters are not quite the same size and that has thrown things off. Iā€™d like to see this changed so the buttons are all on one line again. Hereā€™s one example:

Otherwise, I donā€™t have a problem with the new font. Yet.

Iā€™m not seeing that in Firefox:

Which browser are you using?

I also donā€™t have that issue on Chrome.

Two fonts walk into the bar, and the barman says, ā€œSorry lads, we donā€™t serve your type.ā€

Apologies.

Will adjusting your zoom a little - resolve the display for you ?

Iā€™m using Firefox.

Iā€™m not seeing it in Edge, either.

Thanks. I generally zoom to 110% and even if I up the zoom level Iā€™m not seeing it. The only way I see what youā€™re seeing is if I greatly reduce the width of my browser window. Is your window as wide as possible? If no, what happens if you make it a bit wider?

My window is as wide as possible.

Well . . . my window was as wide as possible on a small screen. On a wider screen, this problem goes away. Iā€™m sorry to bother you about a problem that turns out to be on my end.
