I’m hosting a professional development event for K-12 teachers March 2026 in Springfield, MA. We have @21 schools with a pollinator habitat garden with native plants and more than 45 schools with a vegetable garden. I think there is potential to use iNat & Seek for identifcation help, data collection, lessons, etc. I’d love to be able to offer a one hour workshop that introduces Seek and iNaturalist - gives an overview of them and teaches some basics of how to use/get started . Ideally in person, but potentially could set up a zoom meeting for this. Are there any ambassadors that might fit this near me? thank you.

I am in Windsor, CT (about 20 minutes away). Depending on exactly when, I can probably help.

Hi,
thanks for replying! I haven’t done much research yet to see if there are presentations that iNat made or that were made for ambassadors. I do have some funds to pay workshop presenters- typically $200-250 per a 1 hr workshop for @ 12-25 teachers. This coming year the event is on March 7th in Springfield. I just got into iNat this summer in my own garden for identifying insects mostly & I think it could be useful for teachers in our gardens. I’m not on the forum much- it may be easier to email- cesank@springfieldpublicschools.com is my work email. Do you still feel like this is something you’d be able/willing to do?
