Cannot select multiple images at once

Platform: iOS (iPhone 7)
App Version: 2.8.7

In the previous versions I was able to select multiple images at once from my camera roll for just one observation, now I have to add multiple images one by one by clicking the “+” in the large square and then selecting a single image again. I’m not sure if this was intentional for this version or a bug but adding observations certainly isn’t as smooth as before.
