I’m hoping you can help me out. I can’t update my settings (notifications, profile pic). I make the changes and click “save settings” but nothing happens.
Problem occurs on website (Chrome browser) and on my Android phone (version 1.26.10 (540) ). The phone gives me an error message “There was a problem while updating your profile!”
Thanks for letting me know if there are any trouble-shooting steps I can take!
Are you able to save any of the changes independently? Like just profile description updates without changing the profile photo?
Good question- I just went in and was able to change my notification settings.
So the problem is related to the profile photo maybe?
It could be something about the photo. Can you send it to help@inaturalist.org so we can investigate?
Thanks Carrie. I’ll try another photo and see if that works. If not, will send to that email!
Thank you- looks like it was the photo. Picked a different one and it updated wo a problem :)
