Saving a new profile picture does not work

Press save:

After refresh, no change:

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: Open account settings

Step 2: Press upload new photo, and select the photo

Step 3: Press save settings

Step 4: Save settings button turns grey and the message “D’oh, something went wrong.” appears next to it

Step 5: After refreshing, picture turns to old one

What file format is your new profile picture saved as?

It’s a PNG, I tried JPEG too.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve tried both PNG and JPEG, and I’m using Chrome.

Is this still happening for folks? Do you mind emailing the image to help@inaturalist.org?

Thanks, I can replicate with the image you sent, as well as a jpg version of it, and a jpeg of my own. I’ve let our developers know.

OK, this should be fixed now. It was only affecting accounts that had chosen favorite projects. Sorry about that.
