Description of problem :
When hovering the curser over annotations in identify mode a description of the annotation balue pops up, this same description is missing in the observation view and only repeats the annotations value
This does not happen for me. The mouseover text appears correctly in both Chrome and Firefox on observation pages and explore. Maybe another issue related to UK English - is your account set to that?
Yes, it seems it is another UK english locale bug

So I don’t think it’s a bug, it just requires translation.
Thanks for that information, it seems to be the case, I have started work on “translating” on crowdin, it’s mostly copy and paste with a few words with different spellings to watch out for. Hoping to be done by march first so that the website is fully updated.
Currently 40k translations left if anyone else wants to help out
i don’t know how CrowdIn works, but why doesn’t English (UK) just fall back to English if there’s not a translation specifically for (UK)?
seems like there would need to be a ton of translating. just for example, besides the hover text for annotations, the section headers for the Identify observation window probably need translating, too:
