In the settings on Seek, one can select to have EITHER the common or scientific name of the species being identified. It would be a very helpful learning tool to allow for BOTH names to be displayed on the identification screen.

Welcome to the forum!
On my iPhone, in the Seek app it shows both. I believe you choose which is shown boldly first.
In some locations, only one or the other is displayed, like how it says just Rodentia instead of “rodents” too, for this little house rat.
It probably doesn’t because it has not come up with a final answer, indicated by the white dots and the suggestion to try different angles.
If you check your list under “My Observations” both should be listed.
