In the settings on Seek, one can select to have EITHER the common or scientific name of the species being identified. It would be a very helpful learning tool to allow for BOTH names to be displayed on the identification screen.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
On my iPhone, in the Seek app it shows both. I believe you choose which is shown boldly first.
It probably doesn’t because it has not come up with a final answer, indicated by the white dots and the suggestion to try different angles.
If you check your list under “My Observations” both should be listed.
When I am taking a photo on my iPhone, Seek only shows the common or scientific name per my settings. When I am in the field without internet, I cannot see the other name. If I click View Species it hangs. And it will not yet show up in My Observations until I am online again. I would like to see both on the screen when I get an identification match.
