Display name not respecting name settings

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): Website

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : Chrome

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:
https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/109131-Perigomphus-pallidistylus

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/109131-Perigomphus-pallidistylus

Step 2: Display name on the taxa page is ‘Pegtail’, this name also shows in the taxonony details tree

Step 3: The default name however in English for this species is Isthmian Pegtail, there are no use in place settings applied for any name, so the position 0 name should be the displayed name, yet it is not

FWIW - If you go to a listed taxa page for the species for example https://www.inaturalist.org/listed_taxa/23887878 it displays properly, so why wrong in those 2 places ?

I see Isthmian Pegtail in the title and taxonomy details, whether my common names choice is the US, Canada, or nothing.

I can confirm it was just “pegtail” for me too when I first saw this. Weird one.

If you still see only “pegtail”, can open up your browser’s console and see if there are any error messages? Probably won’t be, but it’s worth a shot.

I’m seeing the proper name too now. No idea why. Absolutely nothing in my settings nor the settings for the species has been changed.
