Editing and writing comments is sometimes frustrating

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

App version number, if a mobile app issue (shown under About in the side menu):
0.55.3(130)
Operating System / Device (e.g. iOS 18.2, iPhone SE):

OS 18.2.1, iPhone SE):

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1:
Open an observation
Step 2:
Writing a comment
Step 3:
If you (inadvertently) press the empty button your comment is delete with a warning or a go back option (might considered as works as designed but still annoying)
4
Without leaving the observation the comment button doesn’t react anymore
5
When I leave the observation and open it again the button works again

Edit
While rewriting my comment in that observation I realize: it’s most likely to inadvertently push empty while writing a comment long enough to fill the space in the comment box. That’s when it’s most annoying to loose the text.

Thought a while about it. I would be sufficient to remove the empty option as long as I can delete my comment with the standard editing tools. In other words: it’s enough to use the backspace capabilities.

I can’t replicate this. Can you list some steps I can follow to get to the point where tapping the COMMENT button does nothing?

Created a screenshot with a dummy’ example.

Once I have entered a bunch of text I end up at a point close to an option that says „empty“ („leeren“ in German). It’s difficult not to select that option once you continue writing or editing your text. I would prefer to not have this option at all. It’s easier to use the escape button up right or mark and delete parts or the whole text rather then being forced to very carefully tap around this option. More than once I inadvertently deleted a well crafted text when I was almost done.
The same applies to the section notes.

Thanks. We added a todo to remove the clear button. Still can’t replicate the COMMENT button not working at all, though.
