"Established" annotation

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): web

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : firefox esr

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:
any lizard observation, e.g.

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):
for several kinds of animals, an “established” annotation was recently added. it comes with only one selectable value: “not established”. that’s pretty useless: how can I annotate that the lizard is established? By not selecting a value? But a not-selected value may just mean exactly that: that nobody selected a value for the “established” annotation.

The annotation is working as intended, so this isn’t a bug. I’ll move to “General”.

Hi @bernhard_hiller, the default assumption is “established”, just as the default assumption on iNat is “wild” unless marked otherwise. See here for more info about this annotation pilot: https://www.inaturalist.org/blog/91460-piloting-an-establishment-annotation-with-amphibians-and-reptiles
