Fixing a mis-directing Wikipedia page (for Flammulina the snail not the fungus)

Hi everyone,

I’m a bit puzzled by why what I’m doing is not working. Is this a bug or am I doing something stupid?

The genus Flammulina is used for both a snail and a fungus and on Wikipedia the page “Flammulina” is the fungus and “Flammulina_(gastropod)” is the snail.

The iNat taxon page for the snail was showing people the Wikipedia page for the fungus, which someone pointed out to me. I went into the “Edit taxon” page and set the Wikipedia title to “Flammulina_(gastropod)”. That was a day ago now but the iNat taxon page is still displaying the fungus Wikipedia page.

Any ideas?

the issue here (and in a lot of similar cases) was on wikidata, where the iNat taxon ID for the snail was mistakenly linked to the wikidata item for the fungus; i’ve fixed that on wikidata, and it should update accordingly on iNat soonish
