Help needed to join the Great Southern Bioblitz 2025 from and on Zanzibar, Tanzania

Please, forum, I need tips how to join the GSB 2025 from and on Zanzibar, 24 -27 October. Do I have to set up something here? I can not find any organized blitzers/observers in my region.

You can join the umbrella project for GSB

Hi @yusufzanzibar Thank you for you interest in the GSB. no its not too late to sign up , we were in contact with @mwambaomccc (also from Zanzibar) in late August, but they have not signed up as an organiser. It would be great to have a Zanzibar project if you what to set one up please register here https://bit.ly/New_GSB_Organisers we can help set up if you need, including generating an area if required. As a rule we have not encouraged setting up a global participants project. as the barriers to creating and running a project are quite low. Organisers vary in resources and as such expectations of organisers are not high, they are 1. set up your project (but we can help when required) the project needs to comply with about 3 or 4 rules. spread the word (to your capacity) 3. please make some records in the project area.

hello. A group of Students from Zanzibar are going to Mafia Island, Tanzania during the Bioblitz, they asked me to set up a Bioblitz collection Project for Mafia. (…”During the project period, me and my ten students will be in Mafia. We will be able to document whale sharks, the shallow water marine life in Chole Bay, and the terrestrial life at different points on the main island and a few of its smaller sister islands.” Can I set up a second Bioblitz project at all? It seems they can not set up one on their own.
