How do i create a new place?

I’m trying to create a place of interest “The malay peninsula” where it starts at the isthmus of Kra & ending at singapore (For birds, Mammals, Butterflies etc.). but … It states…
There were problems importing that place geometry: Place geometry contains too many observations to import

Is there really no work around for this?

As stated when creating a place, they cannot have more than 200,000 observations. Singapore alone has almost one million observations. This is a strict rule as adding/changing large places really slow down the site. Depending on what you are using the project for, it would probably work to use existing state-level places of Myanmar, Thailand, and Malaysia plus Singapore. You can string these together in a search URL, or add them to a project. Like this project:

hmm yes… but i only want certain parts of thailand/Myanmar/Malaysia & all of Singapore.
For example.. i need to exclude Borneo from Malaysia, Peninsular thailand from thailand and almost all of Myanmar.

Should I just include city by city until im Satisfied? e.g. Penang, Kra, Phuket etc.

Edit: ah it does seem one has to add these one location at a time (Sorry i missed the project link). Thanks!
