How to filter for IDs "stuck" at Insecta on app?

For users who are trying to learn a new taxonomic group, it can be helpful both for themselves and others to make higher-level identifications (similar to identifying unknowns.) For instance, if you can tell bees, beetles, and butterflies from other insects, you can scan through observations labeled “insect” and identify them to Order even if you don’t know the species or genus. This helps get the observations in front of specialists and when someone else identifies it, a notification will pop up in your feed.

On the app, how can I filter for IDs trapped at Insecta? When I filtered by “Insecta” and “needs ID” it is showing me everything that is under that level as well not just the ones where that where it is stuck.

Is there a Lower Rank filter, like there might be Higher rank? I’m not sure as I use the website.

I don’t think there are enough filters in the app to get observations that are only identified at a higher taxonomic level.

On the website, you have to set the rank filters:

In the newer iNaturalist app (available currently only on iOS officially still) you can search by taxon rank in Explore now, but the older Android app doesn’t seem to have it available in the filters.
