In need light and sound level monitor

I recently took some trail camera photographs of a Wilson’s Snipe feeding at midnight. I can find no information indicating they are known to feed at night. There was a full moon just a few nights earlier and fairly high levels of light pollution could have contributed to this activity. I have put the cameras out again, this time spanning the month from no moon to no moon. But, along with the trail cam photos I would like to use a recording ambient light sensor to record light levels. Does anyone know of an affordable unit, or do I need to build one using a Raspberry Pi or some similar technology.
