Inat CV behaving unusual in identify mode? Bug?

This might be a bug report.
Over the last two days I have had the cv suggestions in identify mode give incredibly innacurate suggestions on observations and species that would usually not be any trouble for it.
I identify plants and mainly in Florida and so thats where I have observed the most inconsistencies.
I mostly use the cv tab as a quick reference on species I can already sight id to save me from typing, and this is slowing down my workflow.

has anyone else noticed a similar pattern?

Here are the first two observations sorting by random, both exhibit this problem
here is one example:
identotron from identify page (top three reccomendations are very incorrect)

versus identotron from observation page (top 3 reccomendations are reasonable)

Second example:
On identify page

On observation page

these are both at least giving stuff in the same family, (i know the first example is set to genus) but I have had some suggestions in a entirely wrong family.

You have your sort set to scientific name in identify. Change it to default and you get the same results.
