Inserting a URL to a gbif species into an ID with comment will instead link to an erroneous inat-observation link

Platform: Website

Browser, if a website issue: Zen (Opera)

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages:
Observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/332138178
URL inserted: www.gbif.org/species/202146873
URL opened: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/www.gbif.org/species/202146873

Screenshots of what you are seeing:

Description of problem: Inserting a GBIF link into the observation and formatting it using [title](URL) will lead to iNat trying to open inaturalist . org/observations/[GBIF Link]. This is doesn’t happen when the link is not formatted.

Step 1: Copy link into comment under ID

Step 2: Format using [title](URL)

Step 3: URL links to wrong page

your syntax is wrong. web URLs should generally begin with https://.

Ah thanks. I hadn’t noticed. My browser doesn’t display it, so I guess it didn’t copy it over either. Thank you!
