iNat next got slower since I started using it. And the iNat next needs a big amount of storage. I assume the storage consumption might be one of the reasons. I have found an earlier description how to reduce the storage. But that doesn’t seem to exist anymore.
I guess I should delete the app and reinstall it again. Would this work or does anyone know a better method?
I think we’re fairly sure that storage size has not been the cause of most slowness/lagginess issues in the app, so I don’t know if that will fix any slowness issues.
You can log out of the app and log back in, that should clear the cache of the app.
Logging off and on reduces the storage consumption to about 3/5 and improved the general speed.
Just to mention I got an error after logging off and after the first of two attempts to login again
Did the same with iNat classic. It reduces storage consumption by about 10 times or so and made the storage used really tiny. The new version uses about 125 times more than iNat classic which of course is a lot.
