There’s an observer who still shows up in my dashboard when he posts observations but I unfollowed everyone. I looked on his profile page and am not following him. I also tried looking through his slime mold observations to make sure I haven’t followed him instead of the observation and can’t find where the erroneous record is. Wondering if there’s a script that will either unfollow an observer or identify the record where it’s following observer instead of observation. The only thing I want to follow now is specific taxa. TY
Strange. I’ve unfollowed several and not run into this. I do clear cache, browsing history, and download history weekly (sometimes twice weekly). I wonder if that could be the difference?
If you want to submit a help ticket I can look into it and see if there’s a technical issue. https://help.inaturalist.org/support/tickets/new
This has happened to me where I have unfollowed someone and their observations would still show up (it happened with two different observiers). It went on for a while, but eventually they stopped showing up. I realize this is no help to you at this moment…just chiming in to say this has happened to me in the past in case that is helpful to iNat when they troubleshoot this.
I submitted one an then I got an email asking for more info but I don’t know how to find my ticket. Browser is Safari. But don’t spend much time on it. - I was just thinking there might already be a script to clear observers one is following. If not I can deal.
