There is a state park near me where I make many observations. I would like to be able to search that park and find all the observations made there. Currently if I type the park name in the location search box it doesn’t show. The park is on the inat map. It also shows on google maps and any navigation app. I have used. Is there someone who works at inat that handles these things. Location searches work well for counties and states but is very erradic in many other searches.
thank you
You should search for your place here:
https://www.inaturalist.org/places
If it doesn’t show up, it isn’t on iNat. The basemap may have a label from Google, but that doesn’t mean the polygon will come up in a location search (which searches Google places). You can add the place to iNat with a KML file.

As @thomaseverest says, you will need to make it as an iNat place if it isn’t one now. If you need help with that, tell us the park and we can help you.
Seven Lakes State Park. 14390 Fish Lake Road. Holly Michigan.
some inat ids come up Fenton Michigan. It sits on a border 2 counties too. If that matters
It looks like that place already exists.

To use it in your searches, click Filter, More Filters, and then enter that place in the Place field.

Yes, the direction that @thomaseverest gives is important. If you just go to https://www.inaturalist.org/places/seven-lakes-state-park you’ll see the observations but you won’t be able to search them. The search should be done from the “Explore” tab – as @thomaseverest says, click Filter, more Filters, and start typing seven-lakes-state-park in the Place field and choose it when it comes up.
