Step 1: Using the URL above the search produces 54 observations
Step 2: Switching to map view only shows 5 observations

I don’t think there is a bug here… the reason you are not seeing 54 different pins on the map is because many of them are tagged at the exact same location. If you open individual observations, you will find many of them having the same coordinates. Here are two examples:
yup. the opacity shading in the grid-style markers isn’t doing a great job at differentiating between cells that have a ton of observations and those that have only 1.
