Minor Dashboard Bug: Weird Links in "Forum" Section

Platform: Website

Browser, if a website issue: Chrome

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages: https://www.inaturalist.org/home

Screenshots of what you are seeing:

Description of problem: Presumably those links I’ve circled in red in the image above shouldn’t be there; it hasn’t been that way for very long (a few hours, max).

They’re dead links, all trying to send me here: https://forum.inaturalist.org/tag/{“id”=>38,%20"name"=>“projects”,%20"slug"=>“projects”}

Step 1: Go to the iNat dashboard/home page

Step 2: Observe those weird links in the “Forum” Section (if they’re still there).

Not that big of a deal, but haven’t seen this behavior before. Thanks!

It’s very meta- now:p

Thanks I made a bug report.

i know there’s already a bug report, but in case this is helpful this is what i’m seeing in firefox on windows 11:

Also visible for me on
Firefox 147.0.1 Mac OS 12.6.3

Same for me with Safari

Platform: Web

Browser, if a website issue: Chrome Version 144.0.7559.98 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Description of problem:

On my iNat home page there’s a “Forum” widget on the right hand side which shows recent forum threads. Today it started showing a bunch of date that looks like key-value metadata pairs that probably aren’t meant to be shown directly to users, e.g. “id”=>”176” and “slug”=>”web”

@pburka I moved your post to this existing bug report

Mine too - with the info pushed off to the side and out of sight.

Chrome

We released a fix. Looks good to me now.
