Bumping up to prevent closing topic. I’m still going through my photos from last year. Finally got to July, so probably 2-3K more to go. Hopefully I’ll be done before the 2026 season starts. Giant Leopard Moth [20250630-_11A7779]

Still working through pics and finding lifers from last year. Into August now and found this Black Bit Moth. [image]

This Orocrambus tuhualis was on top of the water at a freshwater invertebrate sampling light trap when it was checked. As a live specimen (Of non-target invertebrates) it was taken out, and placed on this rock to dry. Before flying away. 17th record on inat. [image]

I’ve never really been an insect person, but I saw this Luna moth one time in the afternoon and it was so pretty! Definitely one of my favorite animal encounters. (Ignore the poor photo quality) [IMG_4734]

Very cool! I don’t know how everyone else manages to take so many pictures that they have enough to last them through winter. I think I need to take more!
