Not able to open the forum coming from my dashbord on tablet

Description of problem:

Step 1: open the personal dashbord on android tablet 11’’ screen

Step 2: click on dropdown menu “community” to visit the forum

Step 3: the members page opens, dropdown is closed before I am able to click on “forum”

I need to do a google search to open the forum.

It doesn’t help to change to desktop mode.

When I had the forum on my phone, it was a separate app. Not sure if that applies here.

No. I’m talking about the website opened in the browser.

The app I have installed separately, but use it only for making observations and IDs.

I had 2 apps. One is for obs and IDs and the other was for the forums.

just to clarify a bit, in case it’s needed, there’s a dropdown menu associated with the Community item on the top navigation bar on the iNaturalist home page, but you can access the menu only by hovering over the Community item. if you’re using a finger or a non-active stylus on a touchscreen, you can only tap, not hover. so then you can’t get the menu to appear.

that said, there are other links to the forum at the bottom of the home page and the latest forum post preview box, and you can always bookmark the forum page so you can go to it directly.

Thank you very much. I understand. I didn’t think about the hovering effect.

So I will bookmark the forum somewhere to access it directly.
