This is a traditional project. That map used to show all the obs IN the project. Does not matter whether I turn ‘featured obs’ on or off – it only shows a few obs.
The only active option is to show – all obs across iNat.
What has changed ? Or what can I change ?

I only use the website and Chrome – if that matters. Change happened sometime in the last few weeks, thought it might be a temporary glitch.
The green dots are yesterday.
The red ones are last week.
But where are all the previous hikes hidden ? One reason why I made the project was to have a record of our usual routes – where we go in a given season to see that. Yesterday for Pauridia capensis – found a first one. And hoping for a range extension Moraea mutila !
I just noticed this on my traditional projects, too. The map on the front page used to show all the observations in the project, and now it only shows a few (perhaps the 24 in the grid of Recent Observations?)
I don’t know when this change occurred, but I don’t like it.
I would at least like a toggle on the map – on the front page – to display all obs in this project.
I presume it is easier on the servers to display less. But then I would be happy if the default map was blank, and we were prompted to choose what we want to display, this time.
Is this an intentional change, or a bug, @tiwane ?
If intentional, can you explain the rationale, please?

Description of problem:
Step 1: This project has observations in 5 states of Australia. The map on the front page used to show all the points. But now it only shows the last few - I can’t tell the exact number as they are all in the same place.

Step 3: I wondered if this was something to do with being on the Mobile-friendly test mode, so I turned that off and it didn’t make a difference.
Not all Traditional Projects seem to have the same problem - compare the map on the home page of this one: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/australian-inaturalist-discoveries . It looks like it includes every observation in the project on the map.
The second project only has 126 obs. Maybe there is a cutoff number ? Or date ?
I just checked one of my Traditional Projects with 17k+ observations and it has the same “recent observations only” issue
I am also having this problem with all of my traditional projects. I cannot turn on the “all observations” overlay and selecting it does nothing. Instead it only shows the “Featured observations” overlay. I’ve tried in different browsers (chrome, firefox, internet explorer) and all have the same issue.
