Observations failed to add to Habitats (s Afr) project in web uploader

Repair ship is waiting for extreme wind to improve before it can head for the Congo - 7 day journey. Expect slow internet to South Africa till about February. We are currently relying on the third undersea cable.

I find the load for Habitats (s Afr) only works sometimes. It looks like the project and habitat have added, both “project” and “field” are green, but when I submit the observations, I more often than not get the “observations failed to be added” message. Batch edit to add the project and habitat later also tends to fail, so I end up adding one by one.

Repair ship is currently loading 150 kilometres of fibre optic cable.
Expects to leave Wednesday.

I am now having this issue.
Only with Habitats (s Afr).

I am also getting reports that this is not working for many other users (mr_fab; wynand_uys)

(((And if I manually add Habitats to a loaded observation, it usually fails unless I allow a minute between adding the field and adding the project. But that is a different issue.
This has nothing to do with slow lines: my service is largely unaffected by the cable issues.)))

What is very significant is that the Observation field “Habitat (s afr)” failed to upload.
This issue is thus not with the Project, but with the Observation field.

Seems like this might just be this issue:
