It is happening to me as well. I think it has to do with daytime savings.

If I take a look at my timezone on the website I get that I’m in Spain (Madrid) which is correct but it says that this corresponds to a GMT+1 which is wrong, we are still in GMT+2.

If I upload the obs manually I get the “remains green” but for some reason, if I upload through Seek I am able to upload the single image but with a timezone corresponding to EEST:

I’m guessing it has to do with the certain day of the month in which countries will change their daytime savings time?

My phone has the following date & time (GMT+2):

This is the observation on my phone:

I’m also having this issue since today. I restarted the phone, reinstalled the app, and it wasn’t fixed yet. I can’t upload any new observations.

I’ve been having the exact same problem here since yesterday, I noticed it at 6:30 pm (GMT-7:00) , also with an Android using a Huawei Y8s.

It has been happening to me for almost the entirety of 2021. I’ve just gotten used to it

Since yesterday afternoon I have the same problem. Photos are not uploaded from the app in Android 11

Likely the result of of some new code we deployed yesterday, I apologize. We’re investigating now.

I seem to have the same problem - when uploading observations via the app it stops uploading partway through the first observation (was working fine 2 days ago). All relevant metadata is there on the web just no images. I’ve tried deleting the images from the observations in the app and re-adding them through the app and reposting but still no luck. I am having a similar issue with uploads, except the app does not crash. It just stops uploading 25% of the way through the first observation. Same issue on both the current public version and beta 1.24.1. Log files sent.

I am having the same problem as lumenal - app repeatedly stops uploading partway through the first observation.

I’ve already tried restarting phone, closing and opening app, pausing/unpausing app, logging in to iNaturalist on my browser to ensure the phone was connecting to wifi fine, logging out of app like tiwane suggested on another similar post (oops, there goes all my non-uploading observations), even tried uploading my last observation first and only one at a time…NONE of it worked. Everything else on the phone is working fine, only iNat is coming up short. I still can’t even get one observation uploaded today.

(moved @lumenal and @jonhakim’s posts to this thread - pretty sure this is the bug they’re experiencing)

Platform:
Android

App version number:
1.24.1 (newest version)

Description of problem :
Whenever I try to upload an observation, it appears on my homepage and starts to load, then stops almost immediately. It doesn’t show up on the Explore page and every time I go back on the home page it starts to load again. I also can’t add identifications to other people’s observations.

I’m having the same issue. I haven’t been able to sync observations since yesterday morning.

App version 1.24.0 on a Samsung. I am also experiencing the issue of the syncing stopping when it is partway through the first observation to upload.
