Quick question about the iPhone version of the iNaturalist app

Hey guys,

Quick question: on some of the forum posts I’ve noticed that the Android app seems to have functionality that the iOS one doesn’t have. Is this the case, or have I maybe just got an old version installed?

This isn’t a feature request as such (hence why I put it in this section of the forum), more just looking for clarification on the state of things.

Thanks!
Jonny

An explanation I have received in this discussion is that the iOS app is much older than the android app. It has old underlying code that must be replaced piece by piece with newer code so that more features can be added to it. Right now replacing that old code has been the priority.

I use both (work and home phones) and I find that the iPhone works better than the android one overall.
