Retain the current zoom and location on taxon page when switching map type

This is a feature request for the occurrence map shown on the Map tab of a taxon page like
https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/132736-Urola-nivalis

If I zoom in to a place of interest on the map and then switch between Map or Satellite tile views, check or uncheck the Terrain box, or check or uncheck the Labels box, the tile type updates correctly. But the map also pans and zooms back to its default view. So to see the new tile view on the same portion of the map as before, one must manually zoom and pan again.

Instead, could changing the map tile type avoid triggering any automatic panning and zooming of the map?

Map views on other pages, such as particular observation, allow switching view type without re-zooming. So, this might be an easy change to make?
