Does anyone happen to have recommendations for an ID guide to shells I can find along the Texas coast? Might be headed down there again this fall, and I’d love to know what I’m looking at. Not least as I’ve had a look at a little handful of what I’d thought were all coquina shells, and I’m realizing this is a solid half a dozen different species.

I know of some older books that have more detailed descriptions, but I’d guess there’s probably something more up to date. You might have better luck reaching out to some of the top IDers directly if you don’t hear more in the forum. I know several iNat users who make fairly detailed guides (including the first two I linked).
Thank you, I’ll have to put those in my metaphorical pocket! Ideally I’d love something like a shell equivalent of my Sibley bird guide, preferably in book form, but those look really helpful. Particularly the first one, since I can sort of skim down it to look for likely candidates all at once.
