Switching to threaded view

Hi
Is there a way to switch to a threaded view?
I’ve been looking in the settings but I didn’t see anything like that.

People often reply to comments. With the flat view it is sometimes hard to tell where the reply fits in the conversation.

No, looks like it’s purposefully designed to exclude a threaded view:

The judicious use of quoted snippets is the flat view mechanism for providing context and connectivity to a reply. In Discourse there are also a couple of functions included with snippets to help navigate the flat discussion.

On the upper right side of snippet are two icons. The downward “v” expands the snippet to show the whole post, the up arrow jumps one back to the quoted post. The key is for users to become used to using quote snippets in their replies. Discourse makes this easy: select the specific text you are responding to and click on the floating “Quote” button that appears.
