What camera should I use to photograph nature?

I’ve loved nature since childhood, and I’d like to start taking photos. My phone’s camera is terrible, and I think I need to buy a camera, but I don’t know which one.

Welcome to the forum!

This depends on what you want to photograph. Plants? Birds? Spiders?

I have a Canon PowerShot ELPH since over a decade ago, and it occasionally misfocuses. I’m up to 2084 photos, and because of the filename format, I don’t know what it’ll do when I get up to a myriad.

Do you want something that fits into your pocket or something that fits into a small camera bag or some big camera with separate objectives?

Для начала надо определиться с бюджетом. Какую максимальную сумму вы готовы потратить на фотоаппарат?
Потом уже думать над приоритетными группами организмов, режимами съёмки, габаритами фотоаппарата.

First, you need to determine your budget. What’s the maximum amount you’re willing to spend on a camera? Then consider your priority groups of organisms, shooting modes, and camera dimensions.
