For some reason, when I created it, I allowed topics in the Feature Requests category to be marked as “solved”. In order to reduce confusion between “Solved” and “Closed” (the latter of which is the proper action to take when a request is implemented or staff have decided it won’t be implemented), I took away the “Solved” option in Feature Requests.
what about in cases when the functionality already exists, but the user who made the request didn’t know about it? (eg. https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/quicker-access-to-all-my-projects/3439)
I thought “solved” was really useful since it adds the post snippet in the top of the topic that explains exactly what feature was added.
And, it helps distinguish between feature requests that were implemented and those that were not.
