Description of problem:
Step 1: Write message.
Step 2: Press send.
Step 3: “Couldn’t send message: You must be connected to the Internet in order to …” [do that!] Happens on different WiFi networks and data. Everything else on the app works fine. Has been a problem for the last 10 days at least.
Same experience as thomaseverest except I was able to send messages yesterday and Sunday. This is the first time I’ve experienced this.

for me and a friend it’s the same, android 1.28.20 (573) on a vivo and a huawai device. It doesn’t matter wether I am connected via data or wlan, also re-installing didn’t change a thing :/
The same is happening to me.
I can start a new message thread in the app, but cannot reply to an existing thread. Is that the case for you all?

Sounds about right. Didn’t think to write a new message. Although I was able to “reply” to a thread where I hadn’t received a response yet.
This should be fixed, it’s working well for me on the latest version so I’m going to close the topic.
