Description of problem:

On an observation’s page, when choosing the “Suggest an Identification” tab in the Activity feed, switching between browser tabs breaks the “Done” button and you have to refresh the page. This does not happen for the Comment feature.

It’s become a problem as all new observations from places I’ve subscribed to end up on my home page, and it’s through that which I submit identifications. I sometimes move to a different tab to check the information that I write is correct, or to double check my identifications. As far as I know the only way of fixing this issue right now is to refresh the page.

This issue has been ongoing for as long as I can remember but I’ve only figured out why recently!

edit: extra photo below, showing me having clicked the “Done” button after switching tabs

does it work if you re-enter the ID suggestion? i have this issue often, but don’t have to refresh the page for it to work again - i just have to type/select the ID again

I’ll certainly give you that this does appear to work as a solution, but it shouldn’t have to be done! Thank you for that tip though, I’ll certainly be using that.

I’ve had this problem as well. For me all I have to do is remove the last letter of the species name and add it again or remove any spaces after the name and try the done button again.
