"ConservationStatus" on taxon history page links to wrong taxon edit page instead of conservation status edit page

Platform (Android, iOS, Website): Website (need to be curator or staff)

Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc): Chrome

URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages: This is the page I was checking, but it appears to work for any taxon with a status added after February 2022: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/82559/history

Screenshots of what you are seeing (instructions for taking a screenshot on computers and mobile devices: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/):

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.): The “ConservationStatus XXXXXX” link in the taxon history page of a taxon with a conservation status added after February 2022 links to the taxon with an ID number the same as the status number, rather than any information about the taxon or its status change. So, “ConservationStatus 123456” for taxon 654321 links to the edit page for the completely unrelated taxon 123456.

Step 1: Open Taxon History (Example: Cystopteris bulbifera [82559])

Step 2: Click “ConservationStatus XXXXXX” (Example: “ConservationStatus 6347”)

Step 3: Sent to taxon of that ID number, rather than any information about the status or taxon (“ConservationStatus 63472” link for Cystopteris bulbifera [82559] sends user to Mycena oregonensis [63472]). Seems to happen for any conservation status on any taxon history page for any taxon with a status added after February 2022.

Note: If you hover over the link without clicking, a magnifying glass will appear and clicking on the magnifying glass will take you to the correct page.

It doesn’t for me. For the above example if I click the magnifying glass it takes me to https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/82559/history?auditable_id=284736&auditable_type=ConservationStatus (284736 is the wrong taxon but it says “History: Cystopteris bulbifera” at the top) From there clicking on “ConservationStatus 284736” takes me to Buxus mexicana

https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/82559/history?auditable_id=284736&auditable_type=ConservationStatus
284736 here is not a taxon, but a Conservation status ID.
It’s a conservation status history for Cystopteris bulbifera.

But, there is still a problem with the link as you described.

Well that’s the bug then. Clicking the link takes you to the taxon with the taxon ID not taxon that the conservation ID belongs to. I.e. in this case it ends up at https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/284736/edit

Yes. It’s why I wrote:

Are any of you seeing this banner after clicking on the link?

Which link?

For non-curators who click on one of those Conservation Status links in taxon history, they should be taken to another iNat page (usually it’s a page they recently visited or one open in another tab) and see the banner I posted previously.

I’m not seeing that banner when I click on it while signed in, but when I tried it out in a signed-out instance of Chrome earlier it did give that banner.
