Curator Privileges Required to add More Info Links?

Hi all,

Is Curator status required to add links to the More Info column? I’m not at all qualified to make curatorial decisions here but I would like to be able to add links to, for instance, BugGuide and Moth Photographers Group, when I encounter species that lack links.

It seems odd that I can change a species cover photos but not add links. I could log in Wikipedia and edit the species page there directly when that exists, but it is often specifically the taxa without Wikipedia pages that are lacking More Info links.

My apologies if if I’m just missing how to edit it.

To my knowledge, most of the info pages are derived, as you said, from the initial wikipedia links. I think for adding links, the best thing to do might be to try and get a wikipedia article made.

Correct, you need to be a curator to add or edit those links. You can request a link be added by flagging the taxon for curation (Curation>Flag for curation).

Ok, thanks! I will submit links as flags for now and consider applying for curation if I end up doing it a lot.
