I tried replicating @trav_kurtz’s bug by exporting all observations and choosing “all” for “Observation Fields for Projects”. The project has 8 fields linked to it, two are required: Dead or alive and Survey Route. My export contained the six fields that are not required, but not the two fields that are required.
I can replicate @brennafarrell’s bug. That project has one field associated with it - interaction: preyed on - and that field is required.
So I think what’s happening here is that if you choose “Observation Fields for Projects”, it’s only including the non-required fields in the export, which is not good. I’ll write a bug report.
