That includes https://www.inaturalist.org/taxon_changes/98681 from September 2021
Likely the former, the proposed change hasnāt been committed yet. It could be because there is ongoing or unresolved discussion and debate about the change. Check for open flags on the taxa involved. (Curators will often leave a link to the appropriate flag within the draft taxon change, which I strongly encourage.)
To clarify, this is only for taxon changes that have already been initiated, but still need some cleaning up?
Is there anywhere to post old flags that havenāt been responded to?
Specifically https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/338324/flags, flags from 2019 and 2020 and Iām worried itās obscure enough it wonāt get noticed.
Thanks, and sorry if itās off topic.
Correct.
No, the best thing to do is @mention some curators who would be able to help. Adding duplicate flags is generally not helpful.
Thanks for the information. Do I just pick anyone off the curator list? Iāve clicked through the taxonomy pages and donāt see a way of viewing the curators for specific taxa.
There are some āofficialā people here:
https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/curator+guide#authorities
But itās more of an informal group of people that do more work for different groups. If you ask around someone should probably at least know someone to ping. Iāve pinged some people on an existing flag to see if we can get the ball rolling again.
