Step 1: iNaturalist app would not open. I have deleted the app and re-downloaded it from the app store. Icon appears but app will not open and does not appear to install.
I’mn not sure what this means. You see the app on your iPad’s home screen?

The iNaturalist app will not open on my iPhone 6 either. Tried deleting and re-installing. When clicking the app it flashes open (green home screen) and then closes.
Yes I see the app icon on the iPad home screen but when I tap it nothing happens.

I have the same problem with Iphone 6 and ios 12.5.7.
The app starts but does not appear and remains in the background.
I tried reinstalling the app, but the app still doesn’t work
I’m having the same problem with an iPad Air running 12.5.7 iOS. I click on the icon and it seems to start opening. The green screen with the white bird flashes and then instead of opening it goes back to the home screen. I’ve tried turning the device off and on again and also removing and reinstalling the app. The same thing happens.
I’ve been having the exact same issues & same experience as amyjaecker-jones for nearly a month now. I’m on iOS 12.5.7 using an iPhone 6. Really hoping this gets resolved!

Step 1: The app simply does not connect;
tried all the usual steps: power off/ power on; delete app/ download & reinstall.
I click on the iNat icon; briefly the “iNat bird” appears and then goes back to the screen with all the apps.
We began rolling out an update via the App Store (version 3.2.12) that should fix this. It will take a few days for the update to be available to everyone. Please let us know if it works after the update.
iNaturalit app does not open on iPhone 6. We had the problem before. It appeared to have been solved. But now it’s re-occuring for the last few days.
