I’m going to close this request as we won’t be adding new features to the existing apps. If this is an issue in the upcoming mobile app, then a new request should be made. The iOS app now should clean up unneeded data in the background when you leave (but not quit) the app. If there’s something wrong with either app when it comes to storage, please make a bug report.
